Itsabelly Baby Planners recently visited the beautiful city of San Francisco and met up with Amy Kux, our new SF baby planner. Amy joined me at The View From The Bay studio in San Francisco on March 20th where Melissa was featured on the show making organic baby food with the very kind and handsome Spencer Christian on March 20th. Watch it here. The View From The Bay is an afternoon show covering a variety of topics such as Arts & Entertainment, Consumer & Finance, Green Living and Parenting & Babies. It’s a show which airs in Northern and Southern California so we were very excited to be invited on! Itsabelly demonstrated easy and healthy recipes for making baby food using the Beaba Babycook.

Being in San Francisco we couldn’t resist enjoying the sites! During our stay we ventured out to the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on Saturday morning. The Farmers Market is certified and operated by the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture (CUESA). Local farmers and ranchers offer flowers, dairy products, fresh produce, breads, and pastries. For those who are into “green” living you should be happy to know there were many vendors certified organic.

To add to the exciting weekend we had the pleasure to see two TV celebrities at the Farmers Market. At first, we were not sure who the tall, lean, gray haired man with the camera crew was. He stopped at a few of the booths tasting and talking to the vendors. While watching him walk past us a few times a few people were very ecstatic and took pictures with him. Come to find out it was, Anthony Bourdain, the famous food critic. The host of “No Reservations” on the Travel Channel. We had no idea until we asked around.

After seeing Anthony we walked to the front of the Ferry Plaza. A kitchen demo was about to start. Behind the wall came out Jamie Lauren, Executive Chef of Absinthe in San Francisco and Top Chef contender. It was great. We were 10 feet away from her. She made asparagus salad with charred red onion vinaigrette, burrata, and speck. She was relaxed and answered questions about her time on Top Chef. However, she made sure she stayed focused on her demo.

Itsabelly Baby Planners had a fabulous trip in San Francisco. Definitely a city we are happy to serve our clients in!
