Athena Serapio

Athena Serapio knows that patience is a virtue, but it's something she's struggled with and conquered first in her work and then after having her baby girl, Penelope. "Having patience as a parent is important because every day is different, and little babies don't have words to express themselves," she says.

As a baby planner, Athena feels that she can eliminate some of the tasks that can make new and overwhelmed parents become impatient. Educating parents on how to be green and avoid harsh and unnatural chemicals is one of those tasks and a passion for Athena. "Don't be pressured into doing things the 'common or regular' way unless you feel it's best for your family," she says. Of course, being creative and being able to think outside the box make Athena and baby planning a perfect match, especially while pinpointing the ideal baby gear and products for clients.

Born and raised in San Francisco and San Mateo, Athena received her BA in public relations from San Diego State University. Her work in the meeting and events industry allowed her to develop outstanding skills in organizing, planning, paying attention to details and communication. Patience, kindness, thoughtfulness and guidance through life's challenges are the characteristics of Athena's fictional mom hero Marmee March in the book Little Women. She strives to help every parent, including herself, attain all these virtues.
